KICK OFF OF THE “BALCONY SOLAR SYSTEMS FOR VIETNAM” PROJECT

REEPRO is honored to officially kick off the “Balcony Solar Systems for Viet Nam” (BSS4VN) project. This event marks a pioneering step in bringing European-standard green energy models into urban life in Viet Nam. Our participation reflects REEPRO’s commitment to: “Make your sustainable development goals reality with solar energy”, contributing to a greener future for Viet Nam.

From proven success in Germany to local action in Viet Nam

BSS4VN is inspired by the successful balcony solar model in Germany, where over 800,000 systems were registered in 2024 alone — proving its feasibility, effectiveness, and scalability.
In Viet Nam, the project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the develoPPP program, aiming to deliver clean, affordable, and accessible energy solutions for households and businesses.

Diamond Lotus Riverside – First pilot installation

The first pilot system will be installed at Diamond Lotus Riverside – a green-certified building developed by Phuc Khang Mitsubishi Corporation Holding (PKMC), a joint venture between Phuc Khang Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan).
The building features:
– 44% reduction in energy consumption compared to baseline
– 35% reduction in water use through efficient fixtures
– 21.6% green landscape area reducing urban heat effect
– 100% of irrigation uses recycled water

REEPRO – Advancing Viet Nam’s sustainable urban energy ecosystem

BSS4VN is a public–private partnership project, with GIZ representing the public sector and Vietnamese and international companies as private partners.
REEPRO is proud to be one of the Vietnamese private sector partners involved from the beginning, contributing technical expertise and supporting the model’s on-the-ground implementation in Viet Nam.
