String Inverter
Overview
String inverter technology is a trusted and widely used solution in grid-tied solar power systems. At REEPRO, we apply this technology to medium and large-scale projects thanks to its proven reliability and consistent performance. In a string inverter setup, solar panels are connected in series (called “strings”), with the direct current (DC) electricity generated by the panels delivered to a central inverter. This inverter then converts DC into alternating current (AC) for on-site use or export to the power grid.
How It Works:
-
Solar panels capture sunlight and produce DC electricity.
-
Multiple panels are connected in a series, forming a string.
-
Each string feeds into a string inverter, which converts the DC into AC power for use in your facility or for feeding back into the grid.
-
The inverter also handles system monitoring, protection, and communication with remote supervision platforms.
Pros & Cons of String Inverters
| Criteria | Strengths | Considerations |
|---|---|---|
| Operation & Maintenance | Centralized design makes system management simple | One panel issue may affect the entire string |
| Efficiency | High efficiency under uniform panel conditions | Shading or panel mismatch can reduce performance |
| System Scalability | Ideal for standardized large-scale systems | Less flexible for adding panels individually |
| Monitoring | Enables string-level monitoring | Does not support individual panel-level tracking |
| System Integration | Easily integrates with SCADA or EMS in industrial use | Requires space for central inverter installation |
What REEPRO Delivers
At REEPRO, we design and deliver solar power systems using string inverter technology optimized for cost-effectiveness, stable operation, and long-term performance. This solution is ideal for large rooftop installations with minimal shading—such as factories, logistics centers, and manufacturing facilities—helping businesses cut electricity costs and move toward sustainable energy.
